ChrisU
After many years working in the caring industry as a Nurse, Care Worker, Special Support Assistant and Special Needs Manual Handling Trainer and Risk Assessor, I have now started my own practitioners consultancy serving all of Suffolk and the surrounding counties.
I qualified as a State Enrolled Nurse in Edinburgh in 1981 and worked in most of the City's mainstream hospitals including the Royal Infirmary predominantly on the Acute Care, Medical and Surgical wards where I acquired many of the key skills that have helped me in my subsequent caring and manual handling careers.
Christine Ugolini
Special Needs
Manual Handling Trainer
After a break having my own family, I started work in the care industry from 1991 until I became a Special Support Assistant in 1996 at Thomas Wolsey School, Ipswich, a Special Needs school for children and young people with multiple learning, sensory and complex physical disabilities.
In 2001 I qualified as a Special Needs Manual Handling Trainer for the Outreach team at Thomas Wolsey. Since then I have helped train staff and parents in load management and safer handling techniques within the school, as well as at many other schools and educational settings in East Anglia.
ChrisU – my passion
Welcome to Christine Ugolini's Special Needs support services website
My passion is providing courses and training to the highest standard possible that are not only cost effective but also engaging, sympathetic to the needs of the staff, carers and most importantly the children and young people involved. This is something I am very proud of and constantly work hard to maintain these high standards.
I am one of the longest running providers of Special Needs manual handling training courses in Suffolk and offer crucial training for schools, nurseries and colleges throughout Suffolk and the New Anglia counties. Manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work and causes over a third of all workplace injuries which include work related Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) such as upper and lower limb pain/disorders, joint and repetitive strain injuries. I present courses that have been specifically developed to offer both practical skills and relevant theory.
