After many years working in the caring industry as a Nurse, Care Worker, Special Support Assistant and Special Needs Manual Handling Trainer and Risk Assessor, I have now started my own practitioners consultancy serving all of Suffolk and the surrounding counties.
I qualified as a State Enrolled Nurse in Edinburgh in 1981 and worked in most of the City's mainstream hospitals including the Royal Infirmary predominantly on the Acute Care, Medical and Surgical wards where I acquired many of the key skills that have helped me in my subsequent caring and manual handling careers.

Special Needs
Manual Handling Trainer
After a break having my own family, I started work in the care industry from 1991 until I became a Special Support Assistant in 1996 at Thomas Wolsey School, Ipswich, a Special Needs school for children and young people with multiple learning, sensory and complex physical disabilities.
In 2001 I qualified as a Special Needs Manual Handling Trainer for the Outreach team at Thomas Wolsey. Since then I have helped train staff and parents in load management and safer handling techniques within the school, as well as at many other schools and educational settings in East Anglia.
