Mileage Charges

 

Some courses and visits outside of Ipswich and the surrounding area may be subject to Mileage Charges which are IN ADDITION to the course fees.

Payments

FULL payment MUST be received at least 10 working days before the date of the course/visit.

 

Cancellation of course/visit

If a course or visit is cancelled seven days or more in advance then you can either have a 50% refund or reschedule the course for a later date. Please note a course can only be rescheduled once. 

 

If a course or visit is cancelled three working days or less before the date of the course/visit then you will lose the fee. No refund is given but a course reschedule may be allowed (at our discretion) in extenuating circumstances.

 

If, for any reason, we have to cancel a course/visit you will be offered a rescheduled date (subject to availability) or a full refund.

 

If fewer people turn up than the minimum allowed on the course will go ahead at the trainers' discretion and the minimum charge will apply. No refund will be given for anyone not attending that have not given advanced notice as stated above.

 

Venue Provided courses

If you cancel a course that is being held at a venue we have provided then you will get a 50% refund minus a £50 handling fee to cover venue hire costs. This is regardless of when the course was cancelled.

 

Number of people on the course

The figures given on the courses are the minimum and maximum number of people permitted per course.

 

Attendees of our courses or Key workers being present at an in-house visit

 

Health and Fitness

Please ensure any staff attending a course, or as a Key worker for an in-house visit that they are in good health, with no ongoing medical disorder or musculo-skeletal injuries (including but not exclusive to pregnancy) that may put them at undue risk of further discomfort, pain or injury from undertaking manual handling tasks. Most Manual handling tasks require the Carer to have at least average health and fitness including that of stamina, strength and suppleness according to their age.

 

If anyone feels they may not meet the requirements stated above then it is their responsibily to inform a member of our staff immediately so an assessment of the situation can be made.

 

Health and Safety

Please inform staff attending the above to dress appropriately in unrestricted clothing as not to compromise their dignity, wear fairly flat enclosed shoes, tie long hair back or put up, and keep jewellery to a minimum. We cannot be held responsible for the safety of staff or any injuires that withhold a medical disorder, musculo skeletal injury, pregnancy or any other possible condition that may put them at undue risk due to their condition.

 

If, before or on the day of a Course, Assessment or Training, we assess that a person does not meet the above requirements they will be not be included and no refund will be given. 

 

Start time of course/visit

It is the delegates' responsibility to ensure they are at the right venue for their course and must be ready to start 15 minutes before the advertised start time. If you are late you may be refused entry onto the course or not qualify for any certificates of attendance and no refund will be given.

 

Insurance 

We are fully and professionally insured (details available on request) but no responsibility or liability will be accepted for loss or damage of any personal belongings while delegates are on the course whether on-site or at our provided venue. All on-site venues must be fully and appropriately insured.

 

DBS checks

Our trainer Christine Ugolini is fully DBS checked. Details available on request.

 

Confidentiality

All information will be held in the strictest of confidence and no information of any sort or in any form, spoken or written, will be given to a third party without the express witten permission from the parties involved.
